This refers to both employees of participating partner groups, as well as educators and specialists in youth education work from their surroundings i.e.<br>from their local partner institutions and networks. In addition, we want to involve some youngsters from the surroundings of each partner group, especially in the forth activity, which focuses on evaluation and continuation of our collaboration<br>and <strong>27th-30th of August 2021<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Summary of main activities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Partner groups had 3 days of more-less intensive activities together.Each group made a presentation of its work and got to know each other much better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once more it became obvious to everybody how important the live meetings and exchanges are for the project activities, good group dynamic and development of future project ideas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are various experiences in regard to the project topic (ESD), but a lot of interest of all participants to get to know local situations and conditions in each country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Evaluation was showing general satisfaction with the program and selected activities. As a highlights participants mentioned workshop with Werkhaus-Team (Tina and Julia) and a visit to the FabLab Machbar in Freiland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants were satisfied with balance between intensity of activities and free time, but many of them wanted more activities in connection with a project topic. There was wish to have more activities and\/or games for bonding the participants together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the discussion on following steps, we came to agreement to meet in Giannitsa (Greece) in the time frame 28th-31st of October. We\u00b4ll have our decision until 3rd of September. And after this we\u00b4ll follow the situation in regard to Pandemic and if the situation looks really problematic, we will reconsider our decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image \u03b4\u03c1\u03b1\u03c3\u03c4\u03b7\u03c1\u03b9\u03bf\u03c4\u03ae\u03c4\u03c9\u03bd<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Partner groups had 4 days of activities related to different aspects of ESD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the first common meeting in Potsdam, the interest of all participants in different activities and actions that take place in each partner country concerning ESD,was confirmed. In this context, visits in Greece were made to places where such initiatives are developed either by public educational institutions, by NGOs, or by individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the first day (28\/10), a visit was made to the archeological site and the museum of Pella, birthplace of Alexander the Great, famous for its mosaics. In the afternoon the whole group gathered for a short connection with the goals of the program and info on the profile of the host organization &#8220;Educational Innovation&#8221;. They then participated in experiential workshops in order to get to know each other better and to cultivate the spirit of cooperation. After a leisurely walk to the city of Giannitsa, a welcome meal followed for a first contact with local flavors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The next day (29\/10) a visit was made to the Environmental Education Center of Pella in Edessa where the trainers had the opportunity to attend the presentation about the activities of the Center and to participate in a simulation of the educational program &#8220;The band of trash bearers\u201d (musicians holding instruments made by garbage) following various &#8220;stations&#8221; at the open-air water museum in Edessa.The meeting ended making our own band and accompany a well known Greek song with our instuments made out of trash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After that a visit was paid to the multi-shareholding company of \u201cEvora\u201d, in Panagitsa, Pella, an example of a community enterprise. 60% of the villagers are shareholders. The whole project was briefed and discussed by a young member of the enterprise, e. g the creation of artificial lakes and the production of hydroelectric energy from them, their sustainable management, the future plans of the community and how they work. Walking to the \u201cblue\u201d waterfall enjoying nature, offered the nicest epilogue to the visit to \u201cEvora\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then we had the opportunity to get to know another local education and sustainability project, the &#8220;Children&#8217;s Garden&#8221;, a voluntary initiative of individuals &#8211; educators who live in the area and offer their free time to its children and adolescents, an alternative approach to non-formal education, which is inspired by respect for nature and man as part of it. Participants visited the place and the workshops and talked with the people in charge about the activities they do with the children, e. g natural cultivation of seasonal plants, cooking, carpentry, music, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the third day (30\/10), we visited the social space &#8220;Ecopolis&#8221; in Thessaloniki, an initiative of the Ecological Movement of Thessaloniki where the actions of the organization for the refugees and the homeless of the city and in general the philosophy of the running projects were presented. The opportunity was also given to further networking with organizations and schools in Europe that worked in the adjacent area within a School KA2 Erasmus+ partenrship for the first approach of the refugees in relation to the language through arts. The organizations of our partnership had the chance to present their profile and some of their activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The trainers then had the opportunity to participate in one of the weekly activities of Ecopolis, going to an open-air local Market of the area together with refugees and other volunteers where they collected fruits and vegetables that were not sold, and would normally end up in the trash, to be distributed later for free to people who need them.Participant trainers were enthusiastic for sharing this experience and also helped to set up a mini grocery at Ecopolis for people in need. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This was followed by our watching and participation in a street documentary theater rehearsal on the subject of homelessness, an initiative of the Urban cities Network with the aim of making homelessness visible to the general public of the city.Two member of hosting organisation were members of the group that contributed to realise this Action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the last day (31\/10) a whole day visit was paid to the sanctuaries of the Wolf and the Bear of the environmental organization &#8220;Arcturus&#8221; in Nymphaeon, whose action is an excellent example for the formation \/ promotion of environmental awareness.We had the chance to see white wolves and brown bears and learn about main characterisitics of these species and the sustainable approach Arcturus adopts to shelter animals originally coming out of zoos or captivity like the &#8220;Dancing bears&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of the day there was an evaluation of the visit where almost everyone expressed enthusiasm for the experiences they gained in our country in relation to the program. \u03a4he stimuli provided were many and valuable so each one of us needs some time to think and &#8220;digest&#8221; them.Among others, they particularly emphasized the inspiration given to them by the action of &#8220;Ecopolis&#8221;, in terms of collecting and disposing of food for people in need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;In addition, alternative proposals for the timing of the next meeting in Ljubljana were discussed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u039f\u03b9 \u03bf\u03bc\u03ac\u03b4\u03b5\u03c2
